Why It’s Important to Photograph Your Older Kids

I photographed this sweet family many times over the years, but for this session we recreated their family pictures from 7 years ago! What a gift to be able to watch this family grow and then be invited to photograph their older kids. We spend lots of time photographing our littles as they change constantly but it seems to slow down as they get older. But looking at portraits of this family with these older teens/adult kids, makes me realize its just as important to get photographs of them too! Every stage is beautiful, every stage is wonderful in its own ways, and as a mom of young boys, I’m getting all weepy-eyed thinking of the men they will become.

And I don’t think the parents have aged a bit in 7 years. Seriously!

So moms of older kids, photograph them too! It’s so important!
