That year of the Corona Birthdays

Can we just say that 2020 was a A YEAR! There can also be some good that comes even from the hard times as well. One of those that sticks out for me is how we celebrated our kiddos birthdays. Normally we throw a party for friends/extended family, but this year I had to get creative in how we celebrated. I wanted to make sure that it was festive enough to be a birthday, but by nature of not having a party it was toned down for us. My go to this year was decorating a part of the house for the kiddo, getting them a special birthday shirt, and letting them choose and help make their own cakes. We found ways to celebrate and I do think that this was their favorite way yet! It was like an all day celebration! Make sure as a parent you give yourself some space and room to be flexible. It doesn’t have to be perfect for it to be a great memory!
